Hi all, I need an Advise,
Currently I have call manager 7.1.3.30000-1, it supports 6921, 6901, 6911, 6841, and 6961 Phones. I recently got 6945 IP Phones, I try tu download the firmware ti make it to register (Cause Call manager dont give the option to add that kind of phone of that model).
On the readme, it says that the firmware it is only compaltible with
Cisco IP Phone Model | CallManager Version | Supported Protocol | Executable on Software Page | MD5 hash |
6945 | 7.1.5 and higher | SCCP | cmterm-6945-sccp.9-2-2-4.cop.sgn | 8bed82ba7f5b2098512a185a932d4a7c |
7.1.5 and Higher.
And I would like to know if actually can download the 6945 Frimware and make them work, or maybe add them as a 6941 type of phone. I rly need this because I know that 7.1.5 is Mayor upgrade and requieres install the complete IMAGE.
Have someone maki this to work on a CUCM 7.1.3.30000-1, Please, would u' advice me how would be de easiest way to complete this, I have arround a 7,000 phones within 1 plubliser and 4 subscribers, it is critical to complete this without affect the normal operation.

For 6945 to run with 7.1.3, you will need Device Enabler and also install 9.1.1 firmware. Below link has details.

Well, I have another question about this. It it for the process of installing.
Y have a cluster with 5 servers CUCM 7.1.3, One Publisher 4 Subs. And I know I have to install the QED File before thw firmware
¿Do I have to instal de QED File on every node? (Before the firmware).
After the install, I know I have tho restart the TFTP en the Publisher, but...
Do I have to restar every CallManager Process en every Node?
I was wondering I would restart Call Manager service on the 10.0.0.5 wait for it to get up, after that, in the 10.0.0.6... wait, then 10.0.0.7... wait and so on.
Is that the correcto way to proceed?

HI,
Before using the 9.1(1) firmware for Cisco Unified IP Phone model 6945 with Cisco Unified Communication Manager Release 7.1.3, 8.0.1, 8.5.1 and higher, you need install the Device Enabler on the Cisco Unified Communication Manager publisher in the cluster.
So you will have to install it only in Publisher server.
