Re: IP telephone Debug tftp events troubleshout

Zain,

Can you please post the relevant part of your config?

Also, where is RingList.xml in your flash? perhaps you need something like:

tftp-server flash:/Ringtones/RingList.xml alias RingList.xml

Best,
David

Re: IP telephone Debug tftp events troubleshout

Zain,

Did you try the following:

config t

tftp-server flash:ringtones/RingList.xml alias RingList.xml

tftp-server flash:ringtones/DistinctiveRingList.xml alias DistinctiveRingList.xml

When you go to settings -> Ring type -> select on the 7960 do you get the full list of ringtones?

Regarding the 7911, it looks like its loading?  did you try

telephony-service

create cnf files

Best,

David

Re: IP telephone Debug tftp events troubleshout

Zain,

Under ephone, put the type:

Lets say ephone 5 is the 7911:

config t

ephone 5   <- change this to proper ephone #

type 7911

Also, looks like theres a typo here:

tftp-server flash::phone/7906-7911/apps11.8-3-2-27.sbn  <-please correct flash:/ rather than :: in your config

For these you may also need to alias all these files within folders, for example:

tftp-server flash:/phone/7906-7911/SCCP11.8-3-3S.loads alias SCCP11.8-3-3S.load

for all te files.

Additionally, don't see the 7911 loads under telephony-service:

load 7911 SCCP11.8-3-3S.loads

Best,

David

Hows the 7911 after those changes?

Remeber to

telephony-service

no cnf files

create cnf files

after the changes

Best,
David

Re: IP telephone Debug tftp events troubleshout

Zain,

There are still spelling errors in your config, and you need to do all the aliases as I have shown before:

config t

ephone  1

mac-address 2893.FE13.8750

button  1:1

type 7911

Re: IP telephone Debug tftp events troubleshout

Zain,

CME 3.3 does not support the 7911 per the compatibility matrix. You'll need to update to a more recent version. I think the latest your router will support is IOS 15.1(4) and CME 8.6.

A very quick read of your config, everything else looks OK.

Best,

David

Zain,

Can you please post the relevant part of your config?

Also, where is RingList.xml in your flash? perhaps you need something like:

tftp-server flash:/Ringtones/RingList.xml alias RingList.xml

Re: IP telephone Debug tftp events troubleshout

Zain,

Did you try the following:

config t

tftp-server flash:ringtones/RingList.xml alias RingList.xml

tftp-server flash:ringtones/DistinctiveRingList.xml alias DistinctiveRingList.xml

When you go to settings -> Ring type -> select on the 7960 do you get the full list of ringtones?

Regarding the 7911, it looks like its loading?  did you try

telephony-service

create cnf files

Best,

David

IP telephone Debug tftp events troubleshout

Thanks David

No error from 7940 ip phone,

just to correct my tftp-server line config

Regards

Re: IP telephone Debug tftp events troubleshout

Zain,

Under ephone, put the type:

Lets say ephone 5 is the 7911:

config t

ephone 5   <- change this to proper ephone #

type 7911

Also, looks like theres a typo here:

tftp-server flash::phone/7906-7911/apps11.8-3-2-27.sbn  <-please correct flash:/ rather than :: in your config

For these you may also need to alias all these files within folders, for example:

tftp-server flash:/phone/7906-7911/SCCP11.8-3-3S.loads alias SCCP11.8-3-3S.load

for all te files.

Additionally, don't see the 7911 loads under telephony-service:

load 7911 SCCP11.8-3-3S.loads

Best,

David

Hows the 7911 after those changes?

Remeber to

telephony-service

no cnf files

create cnf files

after the changes

Best,
David

Also, looks like your 7940 is ephone 3, you may want to add type 7940 under the ephone.

Best,

David

Re: IP telephone Debug tftp events troubleshout

Zain,

Have a great night (sorry if my slow responses kept you up).

Hope that helped. You should have no issues after a CME upgrade, I think even going to CME 4 will give you 7911 support, but thats why you see them going for the defaults file.

Let me know if you need anything else. Thank you for all the nice ratings.

Best,

David
