IP telephony Design - Help

Hi

I need some help on Telephony Design. Please see the following

scenario for a customer. What is the best way to Implement this.

customer who have 2 remote locations

Outbound and inbound calls have to be made locally from each office

but they do want site to site calling (there is a WAN link already in

place). Challenge is that they want to be able to see BLF information

across the two sites e.g. if a user in Jersey is on the phone the

ability for someone in Guernsey to see this. Also, would ideally like

extension mobility across sites. Is there a way to do this? I know a

phone can be set up to register to more than one CCME router but not

sure if this would help in this situation. What do you think?

Can we have a CCME router at one site and SRST at the remote site with

all phones registered to the CCME router but with the SRST router

handling local incoming and outgoing calls.

If we put a BE Server at the central site is the SRST router at the

remote site able to process incoming calls for the remote site if it

was terminating an ISDN30 line?

Thanks for your Help

Regards

Shameer

Hi,

SRST do not syncronize the users. All phone in site B will be regestered to CUCMBE which is placed at site A. When WAN link goes down, Phones regesters to Site B's router.

Below link will give you the diagram and details.

Hi,

Since you want to use local gateway to do local calling SRST will not be helpfull in the case.

What you can do is.

Use your BE and register your both the gateways with BE. Use LRG concept to make call from local gateway.

And when WAN is down your SRST router will take the calls and you local calling will not be affected.

Also you can use BLF feature of CUCMBE to monitors the lines.

Hi Patel

Thanks for your prompt reply.

So are you saying the BE will sit on SiteA and SRST router will be on Remote SiteB.

If possible can you just provide me a sample diagram.

And also if i update any users on CUCMBE will that syncronize with SRST router.

Thanks shameer
