IP Telephony

Hello

Please help.

We have recently purchased a Cisco 7965 IP phone with two 7916 Expansion modules for our reception.

Currently we use CUCM 8 and have enabled the BLF speed dials. The numbers appear on the modules but am unsure on how I go about setting them up

to show when lines are bust etc.

Do I need to create a new presence group ?

Does anything need to be added to the call manager router ?

Many thanks

Scott,

Locate the phone you are configuring, find Subscribe Calling Search Space field on it.  Go to Route Plan section of CUCM and find Calling Search space section, locate this noted CSS and note all listed paritions in it.

Now, find the phone with the extension you are adding as BLF, note the parition assigned to this extension.

Does this parition belong to the CSS?

Do you even have Subscribe CSS assigned to the phone?

You just need to ensure the Subscribe CSS on the phone has access to the BLF DNs parition.

Hi Chris

Thanks for getting back to me.

All CSS are set to PT_*****_internal

not to sure on what you mean by the BLF DNs partition ?

The Subscribe CSS on the phone, not regular CSS needs to list partition that is assigned to the extension which you are using as BLF destination, that's how the phone can subscribe to the presence from the monitored DN.
