IP2IP gateway with transcoding (SIP2SIP)

Hello all,

Could somebody with experience in this particular issue help? The thing is I have 2811 with two ip interfaces, both have SIP trunks. one SIP trunk will have g711 and other g729. I need to provide some transcoding. The CCM controlled sccp transcoder is not a possibility since there is no CCM involved. I have PVDMs. How exactly do I do it? Do I need UBE licenses? Any config examples?

Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

You'll do a CME-style transcoding rather than CUCM transcoding.

Thanks a lot for the useful link. So seems like no UBE licenses required... Basically I run telephony-service like I would if the transcoder were controlled by CME...
