IPT over LES - Dual Uplinks

Hi all

I have a 3750 which will have two connections back to core network.

One will be 100mb and one will be 10mb.

I was wondering if any suggestions or best practice guidlines are available for connection, ie, would it be best to carry the voice traffic over the 10mb with data over the 100mb and the 100mb standby for voice and vice-versa.

Thanks in advance

Re: IPT over LES - Dual Uplinks

Hi

I assume there are two links for redundancy. Can your 10meg link support full duplex? if not I would run a trunk so two vlans can be supported over the 100meg link and give voice priority using QoS.

Re: IPT over LES - Dual Uplinks

Yes it does support Full Duplex.

I was going to forward all calls through 10mb with data traversing 100mb.

Then have both links on standby.

Hope this makes sense.

Does this sound about right.

Thanks

Hi

Sounds fine, i guess you will use spaningtree to influence the paths for the vlans.
