ISDN, call processing question as per carrier

I have two cell providers and able to dial from CCM successfully but there is different ISDN call processing. one receiving 'alert' when the other 'progress' command.

why different command receiving and/or any violation the ISDN standard?

carrier#1

---------

*Sep 16 17:50:58.042: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: TX -> SETUP pd = 8 callref = 0x02DF

*Sep 16 17:50:58.118: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- CALL_PROC pd = 8 callref = 0x

*Sep 16 17:50:58.918: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- ALERTING pd = 8 callref = 0x8

*Sep 16 17:51:15.018: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- CONNECT pd = 8 callref = 0x82

carrier#2

---------

*Sep 16 17:52:04.574: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: TX -> SETUP pd = 8 callref = 0x02E0

*Sep 16 17:52:04.666: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- CALL_PROC pd = 8 callref = 0x

*Sep 16 17:52:05.266: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- PROGRESS pd = 8 callref = 0x8

*Sep 16 17:52:19.766: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- CONNECT pd = 8 callref = 0x82

Thanks in advance,

Re: ISDN, call processing question as per carrier

No violation. it is an area of compatibility. In this context, both alerting and progress means, "mobile subscriber reached the and the phone is ringing".

On the router you have commands to map the different PI to ringback tones if necessary.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
