It's time to check for correct DST change

Soon the change to DST will happen.

If you want to make sure your CUCM changes to DST at the right date, you can check this with the CUCM CLI command "run sql select * from typetimezone"

Find your timezone in the output.

Example: If you're in Switzerland, this would be the interesting thing:

.. Europe/Zurich .. 0/3/0/5,02:00:00:00 ..

0/3/0/5 is the 5th week of March - we change here to DST on Sunday, 30.3. - correct

If it looks like this:

.. Europe/Zurich .. 0/3/0/4,02:00:00:00 .. your CUCM will change to DST on Sunday, 23.3. which your customers will not like so much.

In the US this should read "0/3/0/2" - DST change in 2014 is Sunday, March 9th

If you don't like what you see, install the latest DST "patch".

Re: It's time to check for correct DST change

Okay, the DST patch alone is only half the story - you also need the newest device pack.

DST in our lab changed at wrong date with the DST patch alone (CUCM 9.1.1)

DST change seems to be some black magic inside the CUCM.... :-(

It would be really cool if someone at Cisco could enlighten us on how this works in detail and how we can check in advance when the change will happen.

(or even better make it configurable)
