I have a CUCM 9.1 cluster and all users use Extension mobility. There was no LDAP integration when the cluster was deployed long back and users use their 4 digit extension number as their phone login ID. (Local User IDs for 1400 users in CUCM).
Now, we are going to deploy Jabber (Cisco IM and Presence) and for this, we need to integrate CUCM with LDAP.
The problem is;
The Domain ID of users are different and so CUCM is going to have 2 copies of User IDs for a single user. 1 local ID (4 digit extension number) and 1 LDAP.ID (Exchange Alias).
My options are,
Prior to the LDAP integration, do a bulk update to all end users and change their local User IDs to match their Exchange Alias so LDAP can merge in to single copies and carry over all device profile and other associations. This is going to be very tough since the user count to manually update the BAT file is 1400+.
Can anyone please suggest an easier approach to achieve this task. Truly appreciate any help.
Thats your only option, in previous versions they would be removed by the garbage collector, on 9.x, theyll remain as local users, unless they match the LDAP userID, youll end up with two users in CUCM

The short answer is that you don't.... That isn't entirely true while at
the same time it kind of is, but for the most part you don't configure
the softkeys. You enable or disable them via TCL. Here is the long
answer. Be sure to read the whole thing or e...
