I'm looking for a lighted ring indicator that will work with the 7960 IP phone. We have some hearing impaired staff that need to "see" when a phone is ringing. They can use the phone with a hearing aid but they do not always hear the ring and are not close enough to see the built in ring indicator. Is there something that will connect to the phone that lights up a brighter or remote light when a call comes in? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Brian,
I don't know of any method to do this via the 7960 itself :( You would normally have to run all of these Light/Strobes in parallel with an Analog ATA/VG Port (shared line with IP Phone)or FXS Port. I have had good luck with the Viking product line :)

Hope this helps!

Hi Rob,
Thanks a bunch. I don't know why the whole shared line/ATA thing never even occurred to me. Now I'm sure I can make something work. Thanks again for the eye opener.

Hi Brian,
You are most welcome! We have a few Hearing Impaired users as well, and it's always nice to find a method that makes their work life easier :)
Take care,
Rob
