Line and Speed Dial modifications: "Update failed" on 7961

This is the error I am getting when trying to add speed dials to the 7914 which is attached to the 7961. The 7914 module is selected on the expansion module section.

"Update failed. [2701] The Phone Template model and protocol do not match the device model and protocol"

No, but I did use BAT to make a template for the same model phone, 7961 sccp.

Hello Rob,

I am having similar problem. We are migrating phones from 6.1.4 to 7.1.5 Call Manager. I am using BAT to do export and import.

When I do import of 7962 phones, I have this "Error 2701 The Phone Template model and protocol do not match the device model and protocol".

I created the phone template with correct available phone template.

I don't know if there is a bug associated with this. Please help.

I got this fixed... I had to recreate customized phone templates...and it worked.
