Lines on a 7941

I have 7941's deployed througout our office and I am wondering if there is any way to have the extension for the user show up on both buttons, i.i I have ext. 301 and I want both buttons to have that extension assigned to them. This is on CM 5.1

What functionality are you looking to implement with this configuration? Are you looking to implement a rollover line? An extension may only appear on one button on a phone. The second extension would need to be in a different partition. Let us know the functionality you are looking for, as there may be a different way of implementing it.

This is just a note to add to the correct hint from Michael (5 points for this one Michael!)

This method was used in older 3.x builds before the Multiple Calls per Line was added in 4.x

We still use this for some users who prefer the visual aspect of this setup;

This document shows how to use Partitions and Calling Search Spaces to configure multiple lines on one phone with the same DN. It is assumed that the user wants all incoming calls to start on line 1 and forward to subsequent lines if line 1 is busy.
