hi,
is there any possibility to log the sip traffic at a uc520 to an external server or to a file within the UC?
We have a customer, who's tell us that sometimes his fax machine can't connect to the SIP-Provider via the SIP-Trunk. But the problems occurs only temporary at several times. So we can't standby and wait for occuring the connecting fail.

Well,
As far as I know, you've got two choices, log to a syslog server, or log to buffer. To set it up you would do logging buffered 7 (To log the debug information) and then logging buffered XXXX where XXXX is the size of the buffer you want to use for the log information. Then if you do sh log, you'll see all the messages that were logged since the last router reload up to the number of messages that the buffer can hold.
Hopefully this will help with your issue,
Steve

hi,
thanks for reply. Syslog Server seems a good alternative. How to configure this?
