I have a credit card machine connected to a Cisco 2811 with an FXS card. When I attempt to process a card payments I am receiving a loss of carrier. The issue is very intermittent.

Hi,
Can you provide more information.
What is the full connectivity
CCMACHINE ---FXS--2811 ---?
Do you break out on the 2811
What is the break out pipe PRI FXO ??
Can you supply a posting of the config of the 2811 ?
Regards
alex

Hi,
You appear have your router configured as a CME.
Your FXS port is not using skinny so basically using
your FXS voice port and I assume the PRI for break out.
You do not have a matching dial peer for your CCMachine FXS port.
You may therefoe be using the fefault dail peer 0.
Can you try adding
!
!
dial-peer voice 11 pots
description CCmachine
destination-pattern 800951
port 0/1/1
!
When you make the call from FXS 0/1/1
use this command to see what dial peers are being matched.
show voice call status
You should see an output similar to this:-
CME3845#sh voice call status
CallID CID ccVdb Port Slot/DSP:Ch Called # Codec MLPP Dia
l-peers
0xD5C 148F 0x690EE1F8 1/0/0:15.1 1/7:1 368340 g711ulaw 8340/211
1 active call found
This should show the peers

Hi Alex,
I think this may be a carrier issue.
