I have a SIP TRUNK from a CCM (mcs-7845) to a SIP Server, with the "Media Termination Point required" box checked. Question: How many sessions will this server support at a given moment?
Thanks in advance,
Juan Salgado

Hi friend,
You can read about MTP from the SRND documents for CCM.
Check this out:
SRND for 6.X:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/srnd/6x/media.html
SRND for 4.X:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/srnd/4x/42media.html

- Adrián.

Under CUCM / System / Service Parameters / Media Streaming App, you can configure the "Call Count" for MTP. I think the suggested value is 48 for all platforms.

the information is here:
Media Termination Points
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/4_2_3/ccmsys/a05mtp.html
A single MTP provides a default of 48 MTP (user configurable) resources, depending on the speed of the network and the network interface card (NIC). For example, a 100-MB Network/NIC card can support 48 MTP resources, while a 10-MB NIC card cannot.
