Hello Folks
I was wondering if anyone can answer the following;
I need to use lots of FXS-E vics on 2911 gen2 routers.
Now I can populate the 4 EHWIC slots giving me 8 ports. Next I thought I could use an NM-HD-2V to give me another two slots (I was under the wrong impression that Service module slots were backward compatible).
My voice colleague has come across the SM-NM-ADPTR which looks like a Service Module that can carry an old style network module - it certainly looks hopeful.
Could anyone advise if this is the case or, if not, the best way to get another 2 vic slots into that service module bay?
Many thanks in advance!

Yes, you need the SM adapter in order to insert NM module into G2 ISR routers. The slot is basically wider and the adapter accommodates it.
