The MCS server (publisher) suddenly goes down and does not come up again. when powered on it continually runs the start up fan noise and does not stop. it does not display anything on the monitor screen. i have tried narrowing down to see where the problem is. the RAM is good, the harddrive is also good as well as the preocessor which is also good. what can be the problem, anybody have an idea?
Well, you could also technically have a bad video card on the server. However, I am assuming this is a NEW server that does not boot? If so, it is possible to have a bad pre-install image shipped. Have you tried to boot from the installation or recovery CD?
