Hi,
I have a requirement on Meet Me conference where the user from PSTN dials a number which is provided say from the DID pool and is asked to enter password for authentication.
We have a Cisco Call manager , PSTN Gateway with PRI and unity express module. Is it possible to achieve from this infrastructure or we need to deploy some third party Hardware?
Please advise.

Hi Aman,
No such thing as a silly question my friend
In the example I gave you for Unity/Unity Connection the caller
would say his/her name when trying to enter the MeetMe and at
that point could be accepted or rejected by the conference controller.
That being said, I'm not 100% sure that CUE offers the call holding/screening
options (that Unity/Unity Connection do) that is required for this solution. You
would need to test this out before speaking to the customer.
If the customer is truly looking for a password protected solution you may
be better off going the 3rd party or custom script route.

Hi Aman,
Hope all is well buddy!
This functionality is not "built-in" as you have probably
determined There is a nice idea from Barry in this thread
along with a secondary "accept" caller thought that many people
use;

Hi Rob,
I am fine...
thanks for the link.
I have gone through the your inputs in link but here no authentication is happening since Caller is simply being asked to enter the name and is being recorded and played back. Please correct me if I am missing something.
In Barry's input, is the CUE script readily available so that we can modify it or do we need to compose it and upload it ?

Hi Aman,
You're right that the first solution only asks for a name and
then the conference moderator can choose to accept or reject
the caller
The solution from Barry requires a "custom" script so this isn't
going to be easy. If you google "Cisco cue script meetme" you may
find some hints but no complete scripts.
There is also a 3rd party solution here;

Don't forget meetingplace or WebEx as well.
Cheers!

Hi Rob,
thanks for reply.
Sorry for asking silly question: When MeetMe call is set at time say 7:00PM by me and another person calls in from PSTN and says his name , at that point I can drop him .Is that correct ? I was trying to get into detail so that I can explain to customer.
thanks a lot.

Hi Rob,
One more query:
Can we configure the way as suggested through Call Handler/Accept Caller name in Unity Express Module or script is the only way to achieve in CUE ?
Is some limitation of configuring call handler in CUE ?

Hi Aman,
From my limited knowledge of CUE and with the research I've done
today, it looks like the scripting may be your only solution within
the CUE context. I wish I could give you an elegant solution here
but I just can't buddy.
Cheers!
