Merge two clusters into one

Is there an easy way to merge two different clusters into one?  One cluster running version 8.6 and the other is running version 7.1, the new cluster will be running version 9.1 and will be on s different ip scheme than the two old clusters.  The export/import method doesn't seem to work very well as there's errors on the imports so I'm hoping there's a good tool out there that someones used to do this?  Or another method that will be easier?

Take DRS backup from larger cluster

Install new cluster with same hostname/ip

Restore from DRS

upgrade to version 9.1

change IP/hostname

use import/export from the other cluster, you may need to upgrade it as well

Your only other option would be to build things manually.

There is no direct way to merger a cluster. You will need to do some due diligence. Take your data from both clusters, work through them ie purge, fine tune etc and the use BAT to import data to the new cluster. There are no tools or a magic way to go about it. You can reduce your work load, by upgrading your 8.6 cluster to 9.1...or upgrade the bigger cluster and then manually import data for the second cluster
