Migrating from CatOS to IOS: WS-X6608-T1

Hello,

I have a question about my migration from CatOS to IOS native (720) on a 6509: Does this WS-X6608-T1 module (T1, 8 port) work with IOS? Currently running with catos 8.2.2

Hi Jagillen,

The 6608 will not work with IOS. We are doing the same change and have to switch to the CMM Module;

CMM is a great solution, but may turn out to be more expensive, considering you have to get the module and then port adapters for it. If you want to keep the 6608 , it would probably be wise to get a 6503 or 6504 and put CatOS on it, and have the 6608 home in that switch, while you can convert your core 6509s to IOS.. (This is again assuming you have a spare sup to play with. Sups are expensive equipment)
