moh Cisco7911 SIP external pbx

Hi, I tried to read as more as possible in the forum about this but i didn't find solution.
I have a Cisco 7911 phone model, registered on an external pbx (no call manager)
I have full access to this pbx.
My problem is that the Cisco is registered on pbx in a right way, it works perfectly but when I put a call in hold mode the other part doesn't heard nothing: there isn't a music on hold.
I would like to put a music on hold, but I'm not an expert of cisco devices and I don't know how realize this.
Could you help me?
I can upload here my *.xml configuration file.
Thanks in advance to all community

Alan

The IP Phone itself isn't

The IP Phone itself isn't going to generate the hold music.  It's up to the PBX to see the call went inactive an allocate a music on hold resource to play to the other party.
