MOH using a H323 gw and CUCM 7.0

hi, i have a CUCM 7.0 working with a 3825 (h323 gateway). The problem is, the MOH only works between ip phone extensions of the CUCM, with calls from or to PSTN, there are not MOH, and the remote user only heards 3 beeps. How can i solve that?

Have you checked that the H.323 GW has a MRGL that includes the MOH server?

Also, are you using multicast MOH? If that's the case the GW needs to listen to the port of MOH and the IP address where the MOH stream is

sent.

It can be also a codec issue, H.323 uses G.729, make sure that this codec is selected on the Audio Streaming parameter. For that do the following on your MOH servers:

Go to System > Service Parameters > 'select server' > Cisco IP Voice Media Streaming App > Supported MOH codecs > hold the CTRL key and click on

all the codecs in the list used > update

Then restart the Cisco IP Voice Media Streaming App service and give it a try.
