Monitor DN on Call Manager

Hi,

We have a requirement of monitoring  DN's on 7916 expansion module on reception phone. We are using CM 8.6. I have changed the phone template but I am confused to select what option to monitor the configured DN's so that receptionist can see status of the DN and also transfer calls to extension. Any idea how to do that ?

Monitor DN on Call Manager

You will want to use BLF SD for this.

1. Change the phone button template for the "operator" phone to include BLF SD.

2. Assign this template to the operator's phone.

3. Add the extension like you would normally do to the BLF SD button.

4. Make sure the Subscribe CSS on both phones (operator's phone and the one you want to monitor) have a CSS assigned and the partitions of these extensions are part of this CSS.

Speed dial BLF (Busy Lamp Field) is exactly what you are looking for.
