More than one Directory Handler for Unity Connection 7.1(3)

We have a central site that has its first remote site office.  The call handler in the remote office offers the directory handler as an option to callers.  When a caller to the remote site is in the directory handler and presses the zero key the caller is reaching the receptionist in the central site and we are being asked to stop this from happening.

Is there a way to create a separate directory handler that will work completely separate from the parent directory handler so that the receptionist in the central site doesn't get these calls?

Please let me know if you do.

Thank you.

Rgds,

Vicky

Re: More than one Directory Handler for Unity Connection 7.1(3)

Hey Vicky,

This is most possible my friend

The new Directory Handler search>scope can be based on these criteria (the one

I just created is based on the peeps in my group @ work in a PDL);

Entire Server

COS

PDL

Search Space

Once you have created your new Directory Handler you can edit the Caller Input

"if caller presses zero" setting (The test one I set up is set to go to a Call handler which

has no Greeting and transfers to the Operator @ 7001). This is where

you can determine where the Dial 0 goes to.

Cheers!

Rob

Hi Rob,

Thank you for the reply.  I am checking this out now.  Going to do some testing.

Thank you again.
