A customer's user has a request ... can they setup more than the two (standard and alternate) greetings on the Unity box? It seems they had 6 or 7 greetings they used on thier old system.
CCM 4.1.3/UM 4.2/7961
Thanks

You also have: closed, busy, internal, and if enabled error greetings that you may use.

You could also do time of day routing off CCM and have the number forward to another DID that heads into Unity. Unity picks that up and plays the greeting. You can have as many as you want. (licenses providing!)

Thanks all...
I did find the Unity config doc regarding the 5 greetings.. but, the customer would still like to know if there are any options for additional alternate greetings...
not sure if anyone has encountered this ...

I guess you need to define how these multiply greetings will work. For instance, everyone has the concept down for activating and using Alternate, Standard, Busy, Closed, etc. So how will you differentiate these other greetings. Where you thinking that Unity would offer something like:
"To activate Greeting 1, press 1 To activate Greeting 2 press 2," Etc.
Or were these multiple greetings used for some sort of function? Because if it was function based, you can have it setup like this:
- Create a call Handler
- Create Caller Input for each option
- Have Unity Transfer to greeting to each input.
- Use a 7961 phone with a 7914 14key pad, then put all the caller input mailbox dids on it. Unity will then let the "admin" person know if there is a message in each mailbox. Or it could even ring at their desk, then go to Unity. (change ring subscriber, rather then transfer to greeting in the caller input on the callhandler)
Using many greetings usually means you have a more complex situation other than some John Doe wanting 7 different greetings, and not wanting to rerecord their gretting.
IPCC Express, and script it.. but that's more complicated.

Can you please send me the link for the config doc for setting up 5 alternate greetings.
thanks
