MWI CME/UNITY EXPRESS ISSUE

Hi,

I'm having some problems with mwi.  I have a router 2921 working as CME with Version 8.1.  It has a ISM-SRE-300-K9 for the Uity Express.  The phones i'm

using are 7970 and 7940.   The problem i'm having is that when somebody call and leave a voice message, the mwi ligth doesn't turn on. 

Here is part of the configuracion i have for the MWI.

MWI CME/UNITY EXPRESS ISSUE

You are missing the mwi server config on CME.

Recommend to use unsolicited notify that works good and is simple to configure.

How do I set this. This way?

First in the CUE :

ccn subsystem sip

gateway address "CME-IPaddress"

mwi sip unsolicited

end subsystem

CME CONFIGURATION

Sip-ua

mwi-server ipv4:CUE-IPaddress expires 3600 port 5060 transport udp unsolicited

I can’t use sip-server ipv4: CUE-IPaddress, because I’m already using a sip-server for a SIP-TRUNK for registering to a SP SIP-PROXY.

If ip put this command doesn’t affect the SIP-TRUNK?

Typically I would use the CUE GUI to set the MWI parameters. The follwing document contains a MWI section on page 153.

This was my last CUE MWI config piece tho.

Hi Dave,

I’ve done this configuration, which i had before configured in the CME. The problem I see is that when I go to the CUE-GUI and select MWI SETTING

It tells me that it doesn’t see any MWI numbers from the CME. I try to synchronize but I get an error.

As mentioned before. With unsolicited notify, you don't need any mwi numbers.

I’ve already configured unsolicited but still no working. Here is the configuration:

Sip-ua

mwi-server ipv4:10.234.144.254 expires 3600 port 5060 transport udp unsolicited

ephone-dn 6 dual-line

number xxxx

mwi sip

CUE:

In the CUE i selected unsolicited form MWI setting.

Is there anything I’m missing?

You dont need the dial-peers to the MWI Numbers.

One more thing, when you call a extension XX to extension YY and you leave a message does the mwi turn on?

Or the problem is just when a external caller try to leave a message to an extension?

sorry for the late response.  I'm been out of office.

Yes i already tested callinf from another extension inside de CME.  But sitll doesn't work.

Right now  i'm using outcalling mode.  I've used the three mode but still nothing.  So i return to

the outcalling mode.  When i dialed the number i'm using fro MWI-ON o OFF pluss extension number

the light gets on-off.

But when i make a call form in or outside i can leave the message but the lights doesn't turn on-off.
