Mwi not working intermittently

Hi ,

Facing an issue with cisco unity connection

problem description : a user has a problem with MWI indicator ( intermittently ) , told that , initially was not able to receive vmail nor was able to get a mwi for that, did a hard reset and all the rebooting, after that, intermittently.

cisco unity version : 7.0.2.

On the user page in unity connection, the mwi current status is shown as off ?

How can we begin troubleshooting  this, and how to begin ?
