my problem with SRST

SRST causes a headacke for me:

srst is a temporarily solution to handle basic call processing when wan fails, what are bounadries to this basic functionality, i mean what are the features, serices, rules, patterns,... that i already configured in CCM what are availble from those in srst mode?

what about call routing for outgoing calls and where are incoming calls being routed, does srst polls all configured patterns from ccm and works upon that, or i should define dial peers on the GW?

The only thing SRST polls from CCM is the phone DNs, everything else you need to configure, such as dial-peers for outbound calling, COR for class of restritions, MOH, conferencing, dialplan-pattern or translation rules to route incoming calls if the digits presented by telco are different than phone DNs.
