Just got an employment opportunity finally get into the arena of cisco voice after 1 year of seeking. Now the challenge is the learning curve of getting comfortable and master well in Cisco voice (IPT) just like my previous experience with a voice/tdm ip pbx brand. Would like to ask where should I start ? My new role will be in the area of implementation and believe will have alot of hands-on.
Anyone can gives any suggestion how to learn fast, smart and have that ability on level with my experience colleagues? It takes a lot of courage to step into a new product but I believe it is worth it for my career profile and future.
Just to add a note to the excellent advice from Ajaz (5 points for your good 2 cents Ajaz!)
This is indeed a great opportunity for you here :) The nice thing for you is that it sounds like you have already gained Voice expertise so you are ahead of the curve. Remember that the same outcomes are desired whether you run traditional PBX or IPT deployments IPT is just a new/different medium! Just start reading/training/listening and learning.
