new users not coming up in first name search

Hi,

added new users on 2811 CME Version 4.0(3), they are not coming up when try to search them by first name, all other fuctions work.

It was not searchable by first name, only the new users are having this issue. I put the first name in last name column in user profile and now it works as desired. I have recreated CNF files, reloaded the CME but it does not search by first name, any suggestions ?
