Night-service distinctive ring tone

As per CCM admin guide the notified ephone will get distinctive ring tone but I got same tone in 'ephone 2' before & after the 'night-service' mode.

I saw a message 'File is not found distict...' on 'ephone 2' while notified. I cannot find any file in flash as name 'distint...' Is this related to the issue?

Advise please,

Hi,

the phone is looking for distinctiveringlist.xml, you must create the file, place it on the router in the tftp directory as well with the actual ringfiles you want for night-service.

Hope this helps, if so please rate post!

The CME admin guide didn't tell any about distinctiveringlist.xml file. Do I really need that file or able to achieve on CME4.0(2)?

Thanks,

The CME guide sometime doesn't tell about a lot of things :)

Yes the file is required and you will need to enable it with "tftp-server" statement.

Okay, I downloaded the 'RingTone.tar' from CCO and changed the DistinctiveRingList.xml'

s 1st entry to 'Sax1.raw' but still I have same ring tone on 'ephone 2' before & after night-service.

what else do I need configure?

**Add the following in CME

tftp-server flash:DistinctiveRingList.xml

tftp-server flash:RingList.xml

tftp-server flash:Sax1.raw

Thanks,

Hmmm... the tftp filenames are case sensitive.. Can you check with "debug tftp events" that the phone is actually getting the requested files ?

Is the message cone away on the phone ?

No tftp events when I dial the night target number 1000. follows my currnet environment. please advise what's wrong.

I could to try this as well with CME 4.1

dial '1000' and the notificatoin to 'ephone 2' which associated to '1001' in my configuration. Yes, display on the IP phone 'Night Service Active'.

ephone 2 successfully rining the notification but the ring tone is same before & after 'Night Service' mode.

Thanks,

Ok, which phone types ? I can try it with most types.
