Hi All,

Can anyone help with this at all?

We have set up SRST fallback on our CUCM 8.0.3 in our lab. we have a both SIP and SCCP phone registered to CUCM and the endpoints fallback to the gateway as required and they can all call between each other.

The problem I have is there are no external calls able to be made.

The gateway is actually the MGCP gateway that CUCM uses to dial out to the E1 trunk via the BT ISDN30 and when CUCM is up I can make calls to PSTN all day long but the moment CUCM is down and the phones fallback to SRST its only internal calls.

Usually you get this when you are in a glare condition. This mean that both side of the circuit, i.e you ane your provider are using the same channel allocation direction. Lets change your channel order and see if it helps.

Ok you need to know which number to mach what DDI to.

to match 449861 to 4561 and 449860 to 4313, do this.

Thanks for your reply.

I have entered those commands but nothing has changed.

I have also enabled the debug isdn q931 but nothing is outputting.

I am getting the same output in debug voice dialpeer again too.

Can you do this please. add the ff: command

ccm-manager fallback-mgcp.

I will suggest to put the system back to normal operation after adding the command and then simualte SRST again

Ok so I still am unable to make external calls but since adding that ccm-manager fallback-mgcp the layer 1 on the PRI is active now

Hi Guys

The other common cause of 'Requested circuit/channel not available' is that you may have provisioned a fractional E1. For example 8 or 16 channels... in that scenario you have only the first x channels so the default of using the top channel for outbound isn't suitable.

In SRST?

You need to know how many digit your telco is sending and then configure translation profile to change the sent DDI to internal extension. Do a test call for incoming DDI. Send the output of debug isdn q931. Let me know what the internal number the DDI should macth and we can configure a xlation rule to match it

Outbound calls are working lovely now

This is the output when I try to dial inbound; The called party number is highlighted in bold text. the DDI's I am using are 4561, and 4313. 449860 is one DDI from the service provider and 449861 isd another. altogether I think we have 8 of them for testing in our labs but we will only use 449860 and 449861. with the area code the whole number will be 01992 44986X
