number to name on 79xx phone

Hi,

is there a way to show external names to known numbers?

for example i create list with names and numbers. when this number calls a cisco 79xx phone in our organisation the name i supplied in the list is shown?

our old alcatel pbx could do this and we really miss this functionality in our new cisco callmanager 6 pbx.

Are you using H.323 or mgcp ?

hi i am using mgcp between callmanager and voice gateway.

Then you need to look into some cisco product like unified contact or so.

With H.323 insteag it is possible to use a script of the GW.
