Number translation according calling type

Hi,

We want to implement one translation rule to add prefix to the calling number when Cisco 2610 receives any incoming call with "International" ISDN number type.

For example, I deployed Cisco 2610 in China and International Access Code in China is "00".

If Cisco 2610 receives international incoming call from Japan as the following:

Calling Number: 8033386302

Called Number: 52589788

Number Type: International

I would like Cisco 2610 can add prefix "00" to the incoming calling number as the following:

Calling Number: 008033386302

Called Number: 52589788

Is it possible to do this in Cisco 2610?

Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Number translation according calling type

Hi,

Yes you can do this. In the example I have configured below, anything that starts with 803 will have 00 prepended to the number.

voice translation-rule 1

rule 1 /^803\(.*\)/ /00803\1/

!

!

cisco#test voice translation-rule 1 8033386302

Matched with rule 1

Original number: 8033386302 Translated number: 008033386302

Original number type: none Translated number type: none

Original number plan: none Translated number plan: none

Re: Number translation according calling type

Thanks for your reply!

But your solution is to translate the incoming calling number according to calling number pattern. In your case, you make translation from the case that incoming number is "00803xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

However, what we expect is to translate the incoming calling number according to calling number Type (International) instead of "calling number pattern"
