Occasional Dropped Calls when forwarding to Voicemail

Good Day All,

We have an intermittant problem with dropped calls that have originated from the PSTN when the call gets forwarded to voicemail.

We have done extensive testing and found that no calls get dropped at the transfer point to voicemail when made from internal extension numbers.

Our system is in the process of being migrating from Call Manager 5 to Call Manager 8.

Currently,  the ISDN is still connecting to a Voice Gateway that is controlled by Call Manager 5.

The call comes in via the ISDN voice gateway controlled by call manager 5 and is passed to call manager 8 via a non-gatekeeper h323 InterCluster trunk.

During testing,  we have seen that calls are dropped as often as 2 in ten just as the call is being forwarded to voicemail. 

The voicemail server is controlled by the Call Manager 8 system and uses SIP to communicate.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot the problem would be most appreciated.
