Hello
This is probably the most basic question on earth but I am still getting my head around the CME config and how things work, I am from a R&S/Wireless background.
Ok so I have three dual line directory numbers.
ephone-dn 1 dual-line
number 222 no reg primary
name Office 1
ephone-dn 2 dual-line
number 222 no reg primary
name Office 2
ephone-dn 3 dual-line
number 333 no reg primary
name Office 3
Each of these is assigned to button one of an Ephone:
ephone 1
mac-address xxxx.xxxx.xxxx
type 6941
button 1:1
ephone 2
mac-address xxxx.xxxx.xxxx
type 6941
button 1:2
ephone 3
mac-address xxxx.xxxx.xxxx
type 6941
button 1:3
Effectively I want to be able to dial 111 (i.e DN 1) and it also ring Ephones 2 and 3.
I still need Ephones 2 and 3 to have thier primary numbers as setup, I just need them to also ring if someone dials 111.
Someone put me out of my misery and tell me how basic this is to do?!?
Thanks

Hi,
you can have one shared ephone-dn on multiple ephones.
For instance:
ephone-dn 1 dual
name Shared
number 777
ephone-dn 2 dual
name Primary1
number 111
ephone-dn 3 dual
name Primary2
number 222
ephone 1
mac dead:beef:0001
button 1:2 2:1
ephone 2
mac dead:beef:0002
button 1:3 2:1
Alternatively, you can use overlays.
button 1o2,1
if you don't want to use a second button for the shared line.
Take a look at
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/guide/cmeadm.html
page 915, section "Shared Line Overlays"

Hi
I had a feeling it was very simple.
I just added Directory number 1 (which should be 111 in the original post) as a second button on each of the other two phones. When someone dialed 111, it rang the phone which has the DN on Button 1 and also the other two which had the same DN on button 2.
I was trying to overcomplicate it and it ended up being too simple!!
Thanks for your help
