opt 150 when you have multiple call manage clusters

A switch with one voice vlan and a mixed set of users such as IPT users connected to a IPT cluster and call center users connected to a call center cluster. Having an issue trying to deliver opt 150 to them uniquely. dhcp does not seem to have a mac to option mechanism without reserving an ip address. Any help appreciated

Seem to me you ought to split the vlan depending on which CM the phone has to go.

Some cisco switches also support mac-based vlans

This is done by "DHCP scope". On DHCP server, you may define different scopes and each scope would have different options.

In the router, you configure ip-helper. Depending on the different forwarding address, DHCP will choose different scope to offer IP addresses.

This is a very standard configuration.

Hope this help.

Michael, the thing is that in a single vlan, there will be a single forwarding address so it won't be possible to distinguish on that basis.

Perhaps there is some other attribute that can be used.

Ah...ok, didn't notice that.

Yes, they'll have to separate those into different VLANs.

Maybe this helps:

"Centralized TFTP in a Multiple Cluster Environment"
