Outbound Caller ID setup for Call Forwarding and Regular Calls

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible in CUCME 7.1 to make the caller ID on regular outbound calls to be one number, but if you forward your phone to have that caller ID to be a different number.

For example:

Company A has DIDs 555-444-1100-1120.

Caller A has phone # 555-444-1101.

When Caller A  makes phone calls his number will show up as 555-444-1100.

If Caller A, however, forwards his phone to a mobile phone he wants whatever number coming to be displayed on his mobile phone's caller ID, not the 555-444-1100 number.

I don't know if this can be done via voice translation rules or dial plans, but any help is greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your time.

That is often asked and you can find many disucciosn on the matter.

In summary, it depends by your telco. If they allow you to send any calling number, potentially spoofing CLID, it will work. That is normal in the US for PRI customer, however not allowed on most SIP trunk services.
