Password recovery IAD 2400

I am trying normal password recovery for (cisco routers) for IAD 2400 but iam unable to get in rommon mode ? Help please.

Resolved.I was plugged in to Aux port! changed it to console , now everything is ok.

I tried using hypterterminal, and putty. i tried these by holding for one minute before rebooting: pause/break. ctrl c. space. break from the top of putty by right clicking the top and pressing break on the mouse. ctrl and f6.

it is responses as it lets me press return to get started.
