PC vlan on IP phone&3rd party switch

Hello all,

I have call manager 8 and couple of cisco ip phones. Phones are connected into the Linksys switch SRW224P (no CDP support). I was able to configure admin vlan manually on the phone. It works ok and phone tags its own traffic. When I configure PC vlan manually on the phone, no tag is inserted into the frame incoming from the PC connected behind the phone. Frame goes from the phone unttaged which causes the problem - no services for the PC.  Is it a firmware bug or am I missing something in the configuration.

Thank you for the answer,

Best regards,

Michal Levak

It's supposed to work that way. Set the native (aka access) VLAN on the switchport to match what is on the phone. The 802.1q protocol does not tag the native VLAN.
