PGW 9.7, CallManager 7.1 and SRST 8.0: is it possible?

We have a PGW 9.7 and we would like to control a 2801 (with some E1s on it) in MGCP.

The E1s will be used for incoming and outgoing calls by some IP Phones, registered to a CallManager 7.1 cluster.

Moreover, we would like to use the 2801 as an SRST for the same IP Phones (i.e., the 2801 has to be a SRST router for the CallManager cluster mentioned before).

Is it possible?

In other words, can a router be an MGCP gateway for the PGW, and an SRST router for the CallManager at the same time?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards.

Re: PGW 9.7, CallManager 7.1 and SRST 8.0: is it possible?

It should be possible to do this as long as you can send calls from the SRST gateway, when the IP phones are registered, to the PGW so they can be sent out the MGCP controlled endpoints and vise-versa. PGW would need to be programmed to route the calls to the SRST gateway when CUCM is down.
