Phone fails to upgrade after reset to factory default
I reset a 7931 phone to factory default by holding the hash key when the phone boots. I pressed 123456789*0# when the buttons on the side started to blink amber. the phone resets and stays on upgrading. Nofing happens afterwards. i have verified the the load files for the 7931 on the flash and they are present on the flash. i have verified the TFTP on the UC and its working fine. i have even reset another 7942 phone and upgrade worked fine for that phone. i have even tried to have the phone upgraded on another UC and the problem is still the same. the phone is getting ip address but nofing is happening.
What i have read from one of the files on CIsco, is that the Cisco-Signed Java MIDlet may be causing this. what can be done to solve the problem. That phone is being used as the Reception desk phone and the site cannot afford not to have a Reception phone. Anyone has any idea?
