I cannot seem to get my 7941 to load the correct firmware even though I have specified the firmware with the load command and tftp-server flash:(load) command. It does not load the correct firmware, instead it loads term41.deafult.
I have attached a tftp debug for this issue. Please advise as to what the issue is.

looking at the log, you are correct it does load the default load.

Can you check
/its/vrf1 if the device specific config is present at all?

I am sorry, I do not understand what you are asking.
If you are asking about just the general configuration of the phone (number, mac, model, etc) then yes, it is there.

Hi Jordan,
What Dennis means is to look at system diectory (#dir system:its/vrf1/ ) for device specific config.
And also see in telephony service tftp binding , did you see this mapping ? tftp-server system:/its/vrf1/XMLDefault7941.cnf.xml alias SEP0019E8E117A0.cnf.xml
If not , then try doing "no create cnf-files" then "create cnf-files" under telephony service.
If that doesn't resolve this issue then please post your sh flash and sh telephony-service section.

Hi Jordan,
Add file extension into load command.
load 7941 SCCP41.8-3-3S.loads
Also in tftp binding.
tftp-server flash:SCCP41.8-3-3S.loads
"•In Cisco Unified CME 7.0(1) and later versions, you must use the complete filename, including the file suffix, for phone firmware versions later than version 8-2-2 for all phone types."
And do "no create cnf-files" and then "create cnf-files" under telephony service.
Let me know if this resolve it.

I get this output when applying the load command.

No, it did not work.
01-13-2014 09:48 AM
Open the default xml file of 7941 and see its load version name is correct or not.
"more system:/its/vrf1/XMLDefault7941.cnf.xml "
And on debug logs there are request for 7941GE configuration file , do you have 7941GE version phone ?
Let me know.
Thanks
Manish

Xml file is not updated , can you please post your" tftp-server flash: "output and also debug tftp events for a single 7941 phone.
Thanks

It is very hard to get just that one as this is on a production network.
0019E8E117A0 is the mac.

Tftp is returning correct load , did you still see term41 load on your phone?
And a basic question did you put phone type under ephone?
