Phone hang up issue

I am getting a strange issue whereby even after I hang up the phone after 5-6 rings where the other party is not picking up the phone.

The phone still rings. Its only when I off hook the phone and on hook the phone again, the call ends.

On the LCD display, I still see that the phone is calling the other party despite already ending the call.

This happens on and off.

How do I troubleshoot this issue ?

Hi,

What is the phone model, What is the CUCM version.

What is RTT between Phone and CUCM. Also it is happening to other phones also.

phone model is 7945G, CUCM is version 8.5.1.

RTT from phone to CUCM is 0.5ms.

so far only one user have reported this issue.

it happens during IDD calls.

Hi,

I think this might be problem with the hardware. You may raise TAC case and see if RMA can be raised.

you might also want to check the CPU speed of call manager at the time of issue..is it too high or not??

Certainly not an hardware issue. How do you connect to PSTN? If ISDN, can you take "debug isdn q931" with "term mon" on the gateway, for a troubled call.
