Phone Load Vs Phone Firmware

I was taking a look at the new firmware version for the 6921 Phone that I have.

Then I saw that there 2 types of files.

Phone Firmware a zip one and Phone load a sgn one.

What is the diference between Phone Firmware and Phone load?

Re: Phone Load Vs Phone Firmware

Hi Rafael,

In your example the .zip files are used when CUCM is not

available for use during the Firmware upgrade process. The files

are unzipped and loaded on a TFTP server to upgrade. In most cases

you will be using the .cop files via Software Upgrade on CUCM. These

files may be signed or unsigned so you will want to view the ReadMe

that comes with each release

Cheers!
