Phone Unregistered

Hi guys,

I need urgent help with a CUCM 6.1 cluster.

I just moved the Publisher to a new location, I've changed the IP address, reconfigure the voice gateways and dhcp option.

in one remote site, phones get unregistered with error code 13 (keepalivetimeout).

I've checked the network and everything is ok, latency is around 5-10 ms.

What bugs me is that not all the phones are gettings unregistered, only a few and alwasy the same.I upgraded the firmware, reset the phone but still nothing.

Also, when I ping the CCM from the switch where is it connected after 5 replys i got one timeout. The port switch is 1Gb/full duplex, with on errors.

Even if you do not see it, you have a network-level problem.

nothing changed on the network since the CCM move.

I saw on the syslog some TFTP timeout messages too. Did a trace and found this:

I'm still thinking that it's something from the CCM.

Hi,

You are somewhat right. One phone did all the problems. For the moment I can't explain but, looks like the phone kept trying and trying to register, and it was some kind of DoS against CCM. I will investigate even further to see exactly.

i took the phone out and everything is back to OK.

Hello,

The pings where you are seeing the timeout with 1 out of 5 is a feature in CUCM to prevent DoS.

Are the phones SIP by chance?

No the phones are using SCCP.
