                   hi,

on this phone I have line 1 ext: 41211. so when I push the voicemail button on the phone it goes to unity for this extension.

all works well.

on this same phone I have lines 2,3,4,5,6 with ext: 41210. (this is a reception phone so we can get many calls on the same extenstion).

all this works well too.

Hi,

A phone's MWI lamp is lit only when there is a message waiting for the phone's primary line (line 1). For phone lines other than the line that is designated to receive MWI, an envelope icon is displayed next to them when there is a message waiting."

You can use 'mwi-line ' under the ephone to over-ride which line button the lamp 'watches,' but the lamp has traditionally only followed a single extension. To designate a line other than the primary line of an ephone to be associated with the ephone's message waiting indicator (MWI) lamp, use the mwi-line command in ephone configuration mode. To return to the default, use the no form of this command.

mwi-line line-number

no mwi-line

**line-number - Line number to be associated with the MWI lamp.

Hi.

+5 to Manish for his usual helpful suggestions, than to access VM from line 2 to 6 , just press one of those line buttons, followed by envelop key on the phone.
