Phones continue ringing After IP Phone hung up

Hi,

I'm facing a problem, hope someone have encountered this before.

When I use a IP phone to dial a local PSTN call to a mobile phone, the mobile phone starts to ring.

However, before the mobile phone is answered, I hang up the IP phone.

Weird thing is, the mobile phone still continues ringing.

If I answer, I would get a busy tone.

Please help...

Thanks,

Eugene

Are you experiencing this issue only with mobile or also with land phone?

perform, if you can, a "debug isdn q931"

and then make a call to a mobile phone!

Hi, I'm facing this on both land phone and mobile, local and International.

I did a debug:

Dialed from 1000 to a mobile 90624248.

mobile started to ring.

Mobile phone is still ringing even after Ip phone is on hook.

Weird... :{

Not sure if we are hitting this bug: CSCsd58220. But we are using 12.4(9T) and it is not shown as fixed in the bug info. :{

Symptoms: The callee's phone rings continuously even after the caller goes on-

hook.

Conditions: When the caller goes on-hook, the gateway receives idle and does

not recognize the idle. The call does not get disconnected and the callee

keeps hearing the ringing tone continuously.

Workaround: The callee has to pick up the phone for the call to be dropped.

Your debug looks like to be OK!

try the same but call from your mobile phone to ip phone and the on hook your mobile phone!

in my opinion it is or a bug of your IOS or you have a problem with your phone provider.

It's not a very good workaround!

I would change IOS into a bug fixed one!

Hi,

Thanks for your prompt replies. :)

I tried calling in from my mobile and hanging up from my mobile.

The call on both sides will terminate immediately.

Yea, I agree I have to upgrade to a later version IOS.

Thanks. :)

Anyone else has encountered this before?

It appears from the capture that the router correctly disconnects the call and the switch acknowledges. The bug mentioned is about phones and not seem to apply to ISDN interfaces.

Yea, I agree.

But somehow I think the telco does not understand the disconnect message and continues to ring the mobile phone.

Weird huh.

Thanks,

Eugene
