pickup group problem ccme

Hi

I have an odd problem with pickup groups. Our default pickup group for everyone in our office is pickup-group 1.

That works great.

I wanted to segregate part of the office and make them pickup-group 2.

As soon as I addd Pickup-group 2 to a new ephone-dn, all pickup groups cease to function.

Where should I start looking?

Thanks!

Hi,

Once you configure more than one pickup group, then the users have to enter the group number to answer the call.

See below, from: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/guide/cmecover.html#wp1092675

If there is only one pickup group defined in the Cisco Unified CME system, the phone user can pick up the call simply by pressing the GPickUp soft key.

A phone user can answer a ringing phone in any pickup group by pressing the GPickUp soft key and then dialing the pickup group number.
