Poor speakerphone quality

Have a user that when on speakerphone his voice is garbled like he is underwater and if he picks up the handset its ok.  Swapped the 7965 phone out but new phone is doing the same thing.  Happens on both internal and external calls, codec is g711 and running 8.5 code on the phone.  Had him adjust the speaker volume but still the quality is bad, any ideas?

I dont recall the details for the bug ID but there was a bug for this behavior discussed not too long ago.  The fix, I believe, is a firmware upgrade.  What firmware are you currently running?

I have looked through the bugs but did not find anything for this load.

Thanks
